Free Stress and Anger Management Techniques

Stress is a real worry that all of us deal with on a daily basis. Sometimes it is emotional stress, sometimes it is physical. No matter the type, stress can tear you down, weakening your immune system and your emotional stability. Here are the top ten ways to live stress-free for the rest of your life.
Stress is a part of daily life, however, when left unchecked it can also become a mental health issue that can damage your life. Let’s talk about how you can get control and reduce your stress.
1. Start Small
There’s no reason to go out of control making changes for less stress. In the end, it will only complicate things further, leading to bigger problems. Try picking up a new morning habit or a healthy food choice. A beach is made by millions of tiny sand crystals, each small when alone, but massive when together.
2. Connect
Make new friends and schedule time for your friends into your busy calendar. It is a fact that connection can improve heart health and prevent depressing isolation. In addition, have you tried getting a pet? A pet may reduce stress more and provide necessary companionship.
3. Live In the NOW
In our everyday lives, there is so much to get done. The only thing is that not all of it must be done now. Many times, we get so bogged down by what we need to do, and how multitasking will save us time, we take on too many tasks at once. Trying to do so many jobs in one little time slot will drive you crazy! Instead, try to pick one job at a time to tackle. This will keep you more focused and less stressed out because you will see what you are getting done.
4. Write It Down
By writing things down, we can get negative stressful feelings out of our body. This healthy release of stress prevents buildup which will only make matters worse. If it is a person you are stressed out over, instead of a situation, try writing a letter to them. Write down all the things you would love to tell them and all the angry feelings you are harboring. The trick is to not send the letter. Shred it, throw it away, burn it; do anything to destroy it. This way you will feel better and no one gets hurt.
5. Take Charge of the Media
Many times the media tends to flock towards negative or sad news stories. While, yes, this is news, be sure you know all the facts. When you see a sad news story, don’t become stressed thinking about. Look for tangible ways that you can help. This gives you a sense of control which could be just what you’re looking for to control your stress.
Stress can be immobilizing and psychologically damaging, but it can be dealt with. See the glass half full. It is all in the way you look at things and small changes, done collectively over time can make a big difference when it comes to stress in your life. Learning to manage stress is vitally important and with a bit of effort and planning you can learn to regain control of your life.
